Please review the following information regarding the online application.

The FLAS application is online only. Paper applications will not be accepted. Applicants may begin, work on, and save the online application prior to submission. We recommend entering the names and email addresses for letters of recommendation early in the application process and email prompts will be sent to your recommenders.

Applicants must complete all required sections of the online application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

The FLAS application will be available November 2020 for the upcoming academic year 2021-2022 and Summer 2021.

Important note: Please enter the names and email addresses for your letters of recommendation at least two weeks prior to the due date and email prompts will be sent to your recommenders. Letters of recommendation must be received, not only requested, by the application due date.

We can accept electronic transcripts or a PDF of a hard copy transcript.

The strongest letters of recommendation come from university professors. We strongly recommend submitting one letter to support the applicant's academic strengths and one to support the applicant's language learning skills.
