When and where can FLAS be used?

When is the application due?
The application is due on January 27, 2017. This is the deadline for both Summer 2017 and Academic Year 2017-18 awards. Only one application is needed if you are applying for both awards. Please see the application page for complete details.

What are the next steps if I am awarded?
Academic year awards: students must register for one language class and one area studies class each semester during their fellowship.

Summer awards: students must enroll in an intensive language program.

Please see the undergraduate, graduate, and summer awards links on the left for more details. Only certain languages are eligible for FLAS. Please see Approved Languages for the complete list.
